Old Anatolian Turkish is the name of the language which developed under the skin of Oghuz -Turkman dialect in Anatolia and incloses the era between the 13th and 15th centuries. The continuation of this era is, on the other hand, called Ottoman Turkish (15-20th centuries). It is quite difficult to precisely sort out these eras from one another. In any literary work produced during the Ottoman Turkish Era, it is possible to encounter with the words which have both the characteristics of the era and the grammatical aspects of Old Anatolian Turkish. Here, both a great minstrel and a divan poet who lived in the 17th century, Âşık Ömer presents the language properties of the previous era in his poems prepared out of his divan by Prof. Yakup KARASOY and Assoc. Prof.Dr. Orhan YAVUZ. This study aims to determine the language properties of Old Anatolian Turkish in Âşık Ömer's Divan.
