One important dimension of the Quranic ijaz is to address not only to minds but also with its special acoustic and musicality to the ears and hearts of the listener. The structure of the letters, their various other features have a great richness of phonetics. Vocal harmony indicates how beautiful this harmony too. If one cannot read the Qur'an in accordance with its rules of tajwid, many features of the Qur'anic recitation will be lost in this performance. This is similar to the poetry which is written in accordance with the rule of poetic measure. The endings and beginnings of the verses, the fawasil of the verses, thematic and ryhtimical harmony among the Qur'anic passages have great impact on the listeners. Furthermore, everyone, whether fluent Arabic speakers or non-Arabic speakers, can see, feel and appriciate this impact.
