Avrupa birligi sosyal politikası kapsamındaki risk gruplarına polis destegi: istanbul sükrü balcı polis meslek yüksekokulu örneği

Avrupa Birligi Sosyal Politikası, Birligin sosyal boyutunu güçlendirmeyi ve vatandasları için kaliteli bir yasam sunmayı hedeflemektedir. Birlik, bu hedefler arasında çesitli nedenlerden dolayı ayrımcılıga ugrayan issizler, çocuklar, kadınlar, yaslılar ve engelliler gibi toplumun dezavantajlı kesimlerinin sosyal durumlarını ve ayrımcılıga ugramamalarını güvence altına almalarına yönelik hedeflere ayrı bir önem vermektedir. Gerek Avrupa’da gerekse Türkiye’de, bu gruplara yönelik yapılan yasal düzenlemeler ve devlet yardımları yanında kisisel veya kurumsal olarak verilecek destekler bu grupları hayata baglamaları ve toplumla bütünlestirmeleri adına büyük öneme sahiptir. Özellikle egitim kurumları bu gruplara manevi destek verebilecek örnek kurumlardır. stanbul Sükrü Balcı Polis Meslek Yüksekokulu bu gruplara yönelik olarak böyle bir destek projesi yürüten bir egitim kurumudur. Bu makalede, bu okulun yukarıda adı geçen gruplara yönelik olarak “Uluslar arası Gençlik Ödülü Programı” çerçevesinde yürüttügü faaliyetler konu edilecek ve bu faaliyetlerin bu gruplar üzerindeki faydaları tartısılacaktır.

The Social Policy of the European Union aims at strengthening the social dimension of the Union and presenting a life of high quality for its citizens. The Union, among these aims, attaches more importance to the aims directed to assure the social conditions and non-discrimination of the disadvantageous groups of the society such as the unemployed, children, women, old and disabled, who are exposed to discrimination due to various reasons. Both in Europe and in Turkey, in addition to the legal regulations and state assistance devoted to these groups, personal and institutional support are of paramount importance for them to connect to life and become integrated with the society. Especially, the educational institutions are such institutions, which can provide spiritual support for these groups. stanbul Sükrü Balcı Police Vocational High School presents a model of such an educational institution which carries out a support project for these groups. In this article, activities preformed by this school within the scope of “International Youth Award Program” will be mentioned and benefits of the activities on these groups will be discussed.
