Araştırmanın amacı, tarih öğretiminin sorunları ve çözüm yolları konusunda öğretmen adayı ve öğretmen görüşlerini ortaya koymak ve bu görüşler arasındaki farkları incelemektir. Betimsel tarama türünde olan bu araştırmada 28 soruluk beşli likert tipinde bir anket kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Gaziantep ve Kahramanmaraş başta olmak üzere farklı illerden rastgele seçilen 50 öğretmen adayı ve 50 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Anket sonuçları "t testi" ile analiz edilmiştir. Sonuçta öğretmenlerin "müfredat yoğunluğunu", Öğretmen adaylarının ise "yöntem ve tekniklerin bilinmemesi ve kullanılmamasını" daha yüksek oranda sorun olarak algıladıkları görülmüştür.

The aim of this study is to examine the differences and similarities of pre-service and inservice teachers' views on the difficulties of history teaching and the ways to overcome these difficulties. This is a research with descriptive purposes. Data collection tool was a Likert type of questionnaire with 28 items. Data were mainly collected in the provinces of Gaziantep and Kahramanmaraş from the in-service and pre-service teachers. Of the participants, 50 pre-service and 50 in-service teachers were randomly selected for the data analysis. The collected data were analyzed with T-test. The findings reveal that , in service teachers cite "curriculum workload" the most, while pre service teachers cite "not knowing and not using the methods and techniques" the most as a problem of history teaching.
