Journal of Economic and Social Studies (JECOSS) is published by International Burch University in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The journal is published semiannually and includes articles, case studies, research notes and reports, thesis/dissertation abstracts, book reviews, and calendar of events. Journal of Economic and Social Studies is published in English. The Publisher, International Burch University does not accept any responsibility for the views or statements expressed by the authors.

PAPER SELECTION AND PUBLICATION PROCESS

a) Paper submission: Upon receipt of paper submission, the editor sends an E-mail of confirmation to the corresponding author within 1-3 working days.

b) Peer review: Submissions will be reviewed by a double-blind review process and will be published based on the recommendations of reviewers and discretion of the editors. The paper will be peer-reviewed by three experts; one is an editorial staff and the other two are external reviewers. The review process may take 2-4 weeks.

c) Notification of the result of review by E-mail.

d) After publication, the corresponding author will receive two copies of printed journals, free of charge. If you want to keep more copies, please contact with the editor before making an order.

MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION

Manuscripts must be e-mailed as a word attachment and be prepared to include the following sections: title page, abstract/key words, manuscript text, references, tables/figures, acknowledgements (if applicable). The first page of the manuscript should include a title page with manuscript title, author’s name, academic degree, present position and complete address (including telephone/fax/e-mail). The second page should contain the title of the manuscript, an abstract (approximately 150 words) and up to six key words. Manuscripts should be double-spaced (including references) covering no more than 40 pages in length. Submitted manuscripts should not have been published elsewhere. However, if a longer/shorter version or translation of a previously published article is being submitted, a photocopy of the original publication must be included. Correspondence will be only with the first author.

MARGINS, JUSTIFICATION AND FONT

The margins must be 1 inch wide on all sides. A conventional font type preferably Times New Roman, size 12-point, should be used consistently throughout the manuscript. Bold face letters and symbols, and italics should be used sparingly throughout the paper.

REFERENCES

Citations in the text should follow the referencing style used by the American Psychological Association. You can refer to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, Fifth Edition, ISBN 1-55798-790-4, copies of which may be ordered from http://www.apa.org/books/4200061.html or APA Order Dept., P.O.B. 2710, Hyattsville, MD 20784, USA or APA, 3 Henrietta Street, London, WC3E 8LU, UK.

List: References should be arranged first alphabetically and then further sorted chronologically if necessary. More than one reference from the same author(s) in the same year must be identified by the letters “a”, “b”, “c”, etc., placed after the year of publication.

NOTE

a) Please present the Table and Figure at the end of the paper.

b) Please avoid using footnote. Change footnote to endnote. Insert “(Note 1, Note 2)” in normal text, and explain the note after References. Please see Example Paper and Template.

c) Please do not use any color more than white and black in paper. The layout of paper is only in white and black.
