Sosyal bilgiler ögretiminde su kaynaklarının görsel materyal olarak kullanımı

Gelecek neslimizin yani ögrencilerimizin su kaynakları konusunda gerekli hassasiyeti gösterebilmeleri gerekmektedir. Bunun için egitimin her kademesinde özellikle sosyal bilgiler dersinde, ögrencilere sorumluluk kazandırılması gerekmektedir. Ögrencilerimizin suyun bizim hayatımız ve gelecegimiz için ne kadar önemli oldugunu idrak etmeleri gerekmektedir. Gelecege yönelik bu hayati önemi bir an önce kavramalarının en kolay yollarından birisi de, sosyal bilgiler dersinde suyun önemi ile ilgili görsel materyallerin sunulmasıdır. Bu nedenle derslerde görselligin kullanılması ögrencilerde kalıcılıgı arttırmakla kalmaz, ögrencilerin konuyla ilgili yorumlama yeteneginin de gelismesine yardımcı olabilir. Günümüzde hiçbir egitimci egitimde, görselligin önemini inkâr edemez. Binlerce kelimeyle tanımlanacak, anlamlandırılacak, olay ya da bilgi veyahut verilmek istenen duygu; bir fotografla ya da resim aracılıgıyla daha kolay anlatılabilir. Anlatılan konunun zihinde sekillenmesi için ögrenciye konuyla ilgili hayal kurdurabilmek önemlidir. Eger ögrenci konu ile ilgili hayal kurabiliyorsa, yani ögrendigini somut hale getirebiliyorsa bellekte kodlanması kolay hale gelir. Bu bilgi ise kalıcı olup, ögrencinin unutmasına engel olur. Arastırmamızın temeli de, su kaynaklarının önemini ögrencilerimize çok daha etkili ve kalıcı bir sekilde sunmaya yardımcı olması için görsel materyalleri kullanmak olmustur.

Our next generation that is our students are supposed to behave in a sensitive manner concerning water resources. To succeed this aim, students must be gained responsibility at each step of education especially at Social Studies subject. It is necessary for our students to comprehend how important water is for our lives and our future. One of the easiest ways to make our students comprehend such vital importance regarding the future at once is that visual materials should be presented concerning the importance of water at Social Studies subject. Therefore, the usage of visual materials during lessons not only causes permanency for students but also can be beneficial to improve students’ skill of interpretation concerning the topic. Today, no educationist can deny the importance of visual aids. An event, some knowledge or a feeling which can be defined or inferred with thousands of words can be easily explained via a photograph or a picture. It is essential to make students imagine about the described topic in their minds. If students can dream about the topic ,namely if they can concretize what they learned,it will be easy to encode for them in their minds. This knowledge is permanent and it obstructs students to forget. The base of our study is the usage of visual aids while presenting to students the importance of water resources in a more effective and permanent way.
