Ortaöğretim öğretmenlerinin sınıflarında oluşturmaya çalıştıkları öğretim normları ve bu normların bazı değişkenlere göre incelenmesi

Bu çalışmada, ortaöğretim öğretmenlerinin sınıflarında oluşturmaya çalıştıkları öğretim normların belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Ayrıca oluşturulmak istenen normlar ile öğretmenlerin cinsiyetleri ve hizmet yılları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olup olmadığı belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini 81 ortaöğretim öğretmeni oluşturmuştur. Verilerin toplanması aşamasında öğretmenlere çoktan seçmeli sorular yöneltilmiştir. Toplanan verilerin analizinde SPSS programı kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre sadece iki soruda hizmet yılına göre bir soruda ise cinsiyete göre anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu görülmüştür. Bunun yanında genel olarak bakıldığında sınıf içerisinde önemli bir konuma sahip olan öğretmenlerin çok az bir kısmının konuyu anlattıktan sonra öğrencilerden soru hazırlamalarını istediği, büyük çoğunluğunun öğrencinin verdiği cevap için neden öyle düşündüğünü sorduğunu, yarıdan fazlasının sorulan soruya yanlış cevap veren öğrencinin doğru cevabı bulması için ipucu vererek yönlendirmeye çalıştıkları ve tamamına yakınının öğrencinin verdiği cevap üzerinde diğer öğrencilerin yorum yapmasına ara sırada olsa izin verdikleri görülmüştür.

In this study, it is aimed at determining the teaching norms that the high school teachers try to create in their classroom. Additionally potential relationships between these norms and teachers’ gender and their amount teaching experience. The samples of the study were comprised of 81 high school teachers. In the data gathering stage, multiple choice questions were asked to the teachers. The frequency tables were utilized in the analysis of the data gathered. The findings indicate that a relationship was found between the norms and amount of teaching experience in two questions and another relationship was found between the norms and gender in only one question. As well as it was observed that the a small number of teachers who had the most important position in the classroom wanted the students to prepare questions after giving a lecture to them; majority of teachers asked the students why they thought that way in relation with their answers; more than half of the teachers try to guide the students who gave wrong answers to the question asked by giving them clues; and almost all the teachers sometimes let the other students to comment on the answers given by the students.
