Suriye’nin son osmanlı valisi tahsin (uzer) bey’in suriye valiliği ve mustafa kemal paşa ile buradaki çalışmaları

Tahsin (UZER) Bey, Suriye Valiliği'ne 12 Eylül 1916'da başlamış, 10 Haziran 1918'de istifa etmiştir. 21 Eylül 1918'de yeniden Suriye Valiliği'ne atanmış, ancak görevine başlayamadan Suriye'nin kaybedilmesi üzerine 30 Ekim 1918'de Aydın Valiliği'ne tayin edilmiştir. Tahsin Bey Suriye'de iken Birinci Dünya Savaşı devam etmektedir. Bu sebepten Askeri erkan ile yan yana çalışmış, Dördüncü Ordu'nun iaşe ve yakacak tedariki ile uğraşmıştır. Mustafa Kemal Paşa, Suriye Valisi Tahsin Bey ile birincisi 17 Şubat 1917'de 7'nci Ordu Komutanlığı'na atanması ile ikincisi 7 Ağustos 1918'de Yıldırım Orduları Grup Komutanlığı'na atanması ile olmak üzere- Suriye'de iki defa birlikte görev yapmışlardır. Mustafa Kemal Paşa ile Tahsin Bey çoğu zaman Ordu Karargâhı ve valilikte bir araya gelmişler, memleketin içinde bulunduğu problemler üzerinde fikir alış verişinde bulunmuşlardır. Tahsin Bey ile birlikte İngilizlerle ve bedevilerle mücadele etmişler, hatta Osmanlı Hükümeti'nde yer almak için bir girişimde dahi bulunmuşlardır. Merkezi Şam'da bulunan Suriye Vilayeti'nin boşaltılması üzerine Mustafa Kemal Paşa ve Tahsin Bey Halep Vilayeti'ne gelmişlerdir. Tahsin Bey, Hükümet'in çağrısı üzerine 23 Ekim 1918'de Halep'ten ayrılmıştır. Yıldırım Orduları Komutanı Mustafa Kemal Paşa ise 26 Ekim 1918'de Halep'ten çekilmiş, 26 Ekim 1918'de Katma Muharebesini kazanarak 28 Ekim 1918'de Kilis'e gelerek, Kilis'te Milli direnişi başlatmış ve müteakiben Anadolu'nun kuzeyine Adana'ya doğru hareket ederek Kilis'ten ayrılmıştır.

Tahsin Bey became Syrian Governor on the 12th of September, 1916 and resigned on the 18th of June, 1918. He was assigned as Syrian Governor again on 21st of September, 1918. Before he started his mission there, Syria had been lost, so he was assigned as Aydın Governor on the 30th of October, 1918. When Tahsin Bey was in Syria, the World War 1 was going on. For this reason he worked with the army forces. He dealt with the food and fuel supply for the 4th Army forces. Mustafa Kemal Pasha and Tahsin Bey realized their duties together two times - first one was on 17th February 1917 with his assignment to the 7th Army force and second was on 7th August 918 to the Lightining Army Group forces.Most of the times, Mustafa Kemal Pasha and Tahsin Bey met at the Headquarters and in the Government Building and they discussed the issues about the situation which the country was in. They struggled against the English and Bedouvin troops and they even made on effort to take part in Ottoman Government. Once Syrian province was emptied Mustafa Kemal and Tahsin Bey arrived in Aleppo Province. Tahsin Bey, upon the call from the government, left Aleppo on the 23rd of October, 1918. Lightening Army Group Commander Mustafa Kemal withdrew from Aleppo on the 23th of October, 1918 and by winnin Katma Battle on the 26th of October, 1918 he arrived in Kilis on the 28th of October. After that he started the Turkish National Movement and then he left Kilis by moving to Adana- the North of Anatolia.
