Küreselleşme sürecinde çevrenin korunması sorunu

Çevre sorunlarının günümüzde büyük boyutlara ulaşmasında daha önce sorunun yanlış değerlendirilmesinin önemli rolü olmuştur. Özellikle 1950’li yıllara kadar çevre sorunları daha çok yerel ya da bölgesel bir sorun olarak algılanmış; çevreye zarar veren de bundan zarar gören de bunun bir dünya sorunu olabileceğini fazla kabul etmemiştir. Oysa 1960’lardan sonra sanayinin yol açtığı çevre kirliğinin sadece bölgesel olmadığı, aksine bütün dünyayı etkileyebileceği görülmüştür. Bugün küresel boyutta bir çevre kirliliği olduğu artık kabul edilmektedir. İklim değişikliği ve ozon tabakasının incelmesi gibi küresel felaketlerin ne boyutlarda olabileceği ve bunları önlemenin yolları tartışılmaktadır. Ancak çevre sorunlarının bugünkü boyuta gelmesinde, liberalizmin yönlendirdiği küreselleşmenin önemli rolü bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada liberal felsefe temelinde ortaya çıkan küreselleşme sürecinin çevrenin korunmasında yol açtığı sorunlar ele alınmaktadır.

The wrong diagnosis of environmental problems in the past played an important role in exacerbating the environmental problems of today. Environmental problems had been perceived as local or regional problems before 1950. Since both those who harmed the environment and those who were exposed to the results of that lived in the same country,environmental problems had not been recognised as global issues. However, after 1960’s it was understood that the environmental pollution caused by the industrialisation was not a regional issue but it could affect the whole world. Today an environmental pollution at global level is generally recognised, and the possible effects of global disasters such as climate change and the hole in the ozone layer and the possible solutions for them are discussed.However, globalisation shaped by liberalism has played an important role in such an expansion of the environmental issues. This study discusses the protection of the environment in the globalisation process which has occurred at basis of liberal philosophy.
