Working women from commonwealth of independent states (cis) in turkey: reliability and validity results of the questionnaire assessing the risk factors in adaptation to migration

From the CIS, in the last years there is a big migration wave to Turkey, as well as to other countries. Yet the scarcity of research on this movement and its psychosocial effects on the immigrants in Turkey is easy to notice. Due to the lack of a bi-lingual (Russian and Turkish) standardized instrument to be used in such studies an attempt has been made to develop one. In this article, the psychometric qualities of the questionnaire developed to assess the risk factors influencing the adaptation process of women from CIS will be presented. The sample consists of 70 women from the CIS who migrated to Turkey. The instruments used are the Turkish and Russian versions of the Beck Depression Inventory and the Turkish and Russian versions of the questionnaire developed by the researcher. The adaptation questionnaire yields a Total risk score. The results provide support for the reliability and validity of the questionnaire.

BDT topluluğundaki 15 devletten, son yıllarda pek çok ülkeye olduğu gibi Türkiye’ye de ciddi bir göç vardır. Bu göç akımının göç edenleri nasıl etkilediği ve psikososyal uyumları konusunda ülkemizde yapılmış çalışmalar ve bu çalışmalarda iki dilde (Rusça ve Türkçe) kullanılabilecek bir ölçek yoktur. Bu makale kapsamında, BDT topluluğu ülkelerinden Türkiye’ye çalışmak için gelen ve burada yaşayan kadınların uyum süreçlerini etkileyen risk faktörlerini değerlendirmek için geliştirilen bir anketin güvenirlik ve geçerlik sonuçları sunulmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini BDT ülkelerinden İstanbul üzerinden Türkiye’ye çalışmaya gelen 70 kadın oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada, uyum anketinin Türkçe ve Rusça versiyonları ile Beck Depresyon Envanterinin (BDE) Türkçe ve Rusça versiyonları kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre uyum anketinden “Toplam risk puanı “elde edilmektedir. Elde edilen veriler, anketin güvenirliği, yapı geçerliliği hakkında destek sağlamaktadır.
