The aim of this study is to compare gender differences between university students and staff of the Eastern Mediterranean University, a University which holds a leading higher education role and a highly respected position in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. In the current study, the changes in the number of female and male students have been examined since the University was established, as has, the staff composition and their working fields. The findings showed that there are no real significant differences in the number of male and female students and staff, however there are differences concerning the educational fields chosen and the posts held.
