Makale özeti ve diğer detaylar.
From the CIS, in the last years there is a big migration wave to Turkey, as well as to other countries. Yet the scarcity of research on this movement and its psychosocial effects on the immigrants in Turkey is easy to notice. Due to the lack of a bi-lingual(Russian and Turkish) standardized instrument to be used in such studies an attempt has been made to develop one. In this article, the psychometric qualities of the questionnaire developed to assess the risk factors influencing the adaptation process of women from CIS will be presented. The sample consists of 70 women from the CIS who migrated to Turkey. The instruments used are the Turkish and Russian versions of the Beck Depression Inventory and the Turkish and Russian versions of the questionnaire developed by the researcher. The adaptation questionnaire yields a Total risk score. The results provide support for the reliability and validity of the questionnaire.
