homonymous comedies of Kleist (1807) and Molière (1668) tries to demonstrate
how the political tension between France and Germany in the 19th and early 20th
centuries finds its prefiguration in literature. While in Kleist the glorification and
idolatry of absolute power (Gove) destroys the comunicative skills and terminates
in masked tragedy, the transparency of the same power in Molière leads to a liberal
solution in the form of a real comedy.
