Makale özeti ve diğer detaylar.
The article draws upon the framework of practice theory to suggest a model suitable for contextualizing literary discourses, particularly with regard to understanding textual representations of intercultural contact. Juxtaposing literary material about the sixteenth- and seventeenth-century conflicts between Germans/Austrians and Ottomans to, on the one hand, other textual practices and, on the other hand, select social, political, and economic practices (such as military strategies and religious conversion) allows for a deeper understanding of the ideological purport of the literary texts.
