Hadis şerhçiliğinin doğuşu ve gelişimi

Hadise ilgi başlangıçta, kişilerin Hz. Peygamber‟in tavsiyeleri doğrultusunda yaşama arzularından doğmuştu ve bu ilgi "anlama‟ çabası ile sınırlı idi. Hadislerin metinleşmesi ile birlikte "yorumlama‟ dönemine girilmiştir. Bu anlama ve yorumlama faaliyeti münferit hadislerin yorumu şeklinde iken, -otorite kazanma süreçlerine bağlı olarak- belli hadis kitaplarının esas alınmasıyla birlikte dördüncü asırda "hadis şerhi‟ kendine özgü yapı ve sistematiği olan bir edebiyat türü haline gelmiştir. Hadisle-ri anlama, yorumlama ve şerh etme geleneği, "münferit rivayetlerin izahı, "belli bir kitabın rivayetle-rinin yorumu‟ ve "belli bir hadis kitabının şerhi‟ çizgisini takip etmiştir.

At the beginning, relevance with hadith was originated from the desire of Prophet‟s companions to live in accordance with his recommendations. And the relevance was limited with understanding of the hadiths. The recording of hadiths provided their interpretation (sharh) and classification. The interpretative studies focused upon some hadith collections after they were given precedence over others. As a result, the interpretativeness of hadith became a literary genre, which has own structure and characteristic. The interpretativeness developed stage by stage in the historical process. First stage is the explanation of individual hadiths without taking into consideration the sources/books to which they belong. Second stage is the explanation of hadiths which certain books include. As for third stage, it is the interpretation of books. In this stage, the studies concentrated on the structures and characteristics of those books and hadiths they include.
