Orman endüstri mühendis adaylarının bölüm tercihi ve iş bulma düşünceleri üzerine bir araştırma

Türkiye'de egitim ögretim faaliyetinde bulunan 9 adet orman fakültesi bulunmaktadır. Çalısmanın yapıldıgı 2004-2005 egitim yılında bu fakülteler içinde 5 tanesinden orman endüstri mühendisligi bölümü mezun verecek düzeydedir. Mezun verecek düzeyde olan bu 5 fakültede orman endüstri mühendisligi son sınıflarında okuyan toplam 383 ögrenciden 193 tanesi ile yüz yüze görüsme yöntemi ile anket çalısması yapılmıstır. Yapılan anket çalısmasında, ögrencilerin bölümleri tercih etmelerinde etkili olan unsurların neler oldugu, ögrencilerin mezun olduktan sonra is bulabilme konusunda düsündükleri, kendi islerini kurmak istemelerinin nedenlerinin neler oldugu ve bir is kurmak ve o iste basarılı olmak için ne gibi unsurların gerekli oldugunun arastırılmaya çalısılmıstır. Çalısmada anket yönteminden yararlanılmıs olup kullanılan anket 2 kısım ve toplam 13 sorudan olusmaktadır. Elde edilen anket sonuçları SPSS paket programında Ki-kare testi ve çapraz tablolar yardımıyla analiz edilmistir. Arastırma sonuçlarına göre orman endüstri mühendisligi son sınıf ögrencilerinin büyük bir çogunlugunun bölümlerini kendi istekleri dogrultusunda seçtikleri bulunmustur. Ögrencilerin yarıdan fazlasının mezuniyetten sonra is bulabilecegine inandıkları tespit edilmistir. 4s bulamama korkusu içinde olanların oranı %20'lerde kalmıstır. Çalısmaya katılan ögrencilerin %66'sı kendi islerini kurmak istemektedirler. Kendi islerini kurmak istemelerinin en önemli nedeni kendi islerinin patronu olmak istemeleridir. Orman endüstri mühendisleri son sınıf ögrencilerine göre bir is kurmak ve kurulacak olan iste basarılı olmak için en önemli unsur sermaye unsurudur.

There are nine faculty of forestry, having operations in education-teaching, in Turkey. Five of these faculties are suitable to graduate forest industrial engineer in education year of 2004-2005 that study applied. 193 of 383 students, who are in the last year in department of forest industrial engineering in the five faculties, were interviewed in questionnaire method. In the study, it was try to research what factors affected department choice of students, thoughts of students about finding job after graduate, reasons of wanting to get their own job and essential factors to establish a job and to success that job are. Questionnaire method was used in the study; Questionnaire has two parts and was formed thirteen questions. Results of the study were statistically investigated in accordance with SPSS packaged software. Essential statistical investigations were done in accordance with chi-square analysis and cross tabulations. According to the results of study, it was determined that last year students of forest industrial engineering choice their department on their own. It was determined that more than half of the students believe to find a job after graduate. The proportion of the students who believe to not to find a job is 20%. 66% of the students want to establish their own job. The most important reason of the ones wanted to establish their own job is that they want to be their own boss. According to last year students of forest industrial engineering, the most important factor is capital factor to establish job and to success the job.
