Teknik eğitim fakültelerine öğrenci yöneliminin çoklu zeka kuramı açısından değerlendirilmesi

Bu çalısmanın amacı; teknik egitim fakültelerine ögrenci yöneliminin ögrencilerin çoklu zeka profilleri açısından degerlendirmektir. Betimleme-survey yöntemi kullanılarak hazırlanan arastırmanın çalısma grubunu Gazi Üniversitesi Teknik Egitim Fakültesinin farklı bölümlerine kayıtlı 407 ögrenci olusturmustur. Arastırmada, Çoklu Zeka Envanteri ve açık uçlu 3 sorudan olusan bir ölçme aracı kullanılmıstır. 5’li Likert tipinde hazırlanmıs olan envanterin geneli için cronbach-alfa katsayısı 0.92 olarak hesaplanmıstır. Arastırma bulguları nicel ve nitel veriler degerlendirilerek elde edilmistir. Veriler SPSS–11 paket programı yardımıyla betimsel istatistikler ve pearson korelasyon analizi yapılarak tablolastırılmıstır.Arastırma sonunda ögrencilerin zeka türlerine ait puanları birbirlerinden çok farklı olmamasına ragmen en fazla mantıksalmatematiksel zekaya sahip oldukları belirlenmistir. Diger taraftan zeka türleri ile ögrencilerin kayıtlı bulundukları bölümler arasında pozitif yönde düsük ve orta düzeylerde iliskiler oldugu tespit edilmistir. Ögrencilerin mesleki-teknik liseyi tercih nedenleri incelendiginde en önemli nedenlerin; aile, arkadas grubu, ögrencinin kendi tercihi, ögrencinin mesleki-teknik alana ilgi duyması, mezun olunca is imkanlarının genel liselere göre daha fazla olması vb. olarak sıralanmaktadır. Diger taraftan, ögrencilerin teknik egitim fakültesini tercih nedenleri incelendiginde en önemli nedenlerin; üniversiteye giris sisteminin mesleki-teknik lisedeki branslar dısındaki bransları tercih imkanının yetersizligi, mesleki-teknik liselerde üniversiteye giris sınavına yönelik derslerin yeterli düzeyde verilmemesi, mezun olunca is imkanlarının yüksek olması vb. olarak sıralandıgı belirlenmistir. Ayrıca ögrencilerin üniversiteye giris sistemine yönelik önerileri incelendiginde; mesleki-teknik lise ögrencilerinin istedigi her fakülteyi/bölümü seçme imkanı verilmeli, katsayılar yeniden düzenlenmeli, branslara göre uygulamalı sınavlarda yapılmalı vb. olarak sıralandıgı tespit edilmistir.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the student orientation to faculties of technical education through the theory of multiple intelligences. The sample group of the research done according to the description-survey method was 407 students enrolled in different departments of Gazi University Technical Education Faculty. In the research; a multiple intelligence inventory and open-ended question scale including 3 questions were performed. Cronbach-Alpha for the whole scale was to be 0.92 for the whole inventory prepared using type scale having five parts. Research findings were obtained by evaluating quantitative and qualitative data. It was determined that although scores of students belonging to intelligence types were not much different from each other, they had mostly logical-mathematical intelligence. On the other hand; it was determined that there were low and medium leveled relations in positive way between their intelligence type and departments they were enrolled. When we looked over the causes for which students prefer vocational-technical high schools, the most important factors were families, friends, student’s own preferences, feeling an interest in vocational-technical department, having more employment opportunity than the other high schools, etc. On the other hand, when the causes of preferring faculty of technical education were examined, it was determined that the most important factors were insufficiency of opportunity of choosing other than departments in vocational-technical high schools in university entrance exam, not giving the lessons for university entrance exam sufficiently in vocational-technical high schools, having more employment opportunity when they graduated. In addition to them, when we examined the suggestions of students about university entrance system, it was listed in order that opportunity of choosing the department students of vocational-technical high schools wanted should be given, coefficients should be organized, according to departments applied exams should be done, etc.
