Gençlik sorunlarında medyanın etkisi

Çocugun gelisiminde kritik dönemler vardır. Okul öncesi dönemde zihinsel, bedensel gelisim, ergenlikte sosyal ve kimlik gelisimi öne çıkar. Çocuga ve ergene yönelik programlar ortaya koyan medyanın yayınlarının çocuk ve gençlerin normal gelisimlerini destekleyecek nitelikte olması beklenir. Toplumun yasadıklarının ve problemlerinin dile getirilmesi asamasında medya temel taslardan birini olusturmaktadır. Medya, bir toplumu etkileyen, önceliklerini ve gündemini olusturan önemli bir güçtür. Bu güç dogru sekilde kullanıldıgında çocuklar, gençler dolayısıyla toplum için yararlı sonuçlar ortaya çıkar. Çocugun gelisim özelliklerinden hareketle medyanın olumlu olumsuz etkilerini belirlemek ve öneriler gelistirmek amacıyla bu arastırma yapılmıstır. Arastırmanın amacını gerçeklestirmek üzere tarama yöntemi izlenmis ve teorik bir çözümleme yapılmıstır. Medyada genellikle çocukların gelisim özellikleri dikkate alınmadan, programlar yapılmakta; onlara uyusturucu, hırsızlık, Türkçeye ve kültürüne yabancılasma temaları; magazinel olaylar, yanlıs modeller ve marjinal olaylar içerisinde yer verilmektedir. Çocukların egitiminde aileler, okullar ve medya organları olmak üzere herkese sorumlulukları sürekli hatırlatılmalıdır. Aileler ve medya yetkilileri basta olmak üzere çocugun egitimi, gelisimi hakkında tüm ilgililer bilgilendirilmeli ve bilinçlendirilmelidirler. Çocukluk, erinlik, ergenlik dönemin gelisim özellikleri göz önünde bulundurularak medyada saglıklı, isabetli kisilikler ve modellerle desteklenen programlar yapılmalı, süreçlerin ve sonuçların sürekli izlenmesi, denetlenmesi ve degerlendirilmesi için gerekli önlemler alınmalıdır.

There are critical peiods in a child’s development process. In the preschool period, mental/intellectual and physical developments whereas in the adolescence period, social and personality/identity developments become crucial. The media that directs programmes towards children and adolescents are expected to be in a quality that support the normal, anticipated development phase of the children and the young. The media constitutes one of the cornerstones of the society at the stage of expressing society problems and experiences. The media is a significant power that effects on the society, on its priorities and also its effects on forming the agenda. Provided that this power is used in a right way, there seems worthwhile outcomes for the children, young and so the society. This research was done to determine positive and negative effects of the media on the child’s development features and to design advices related to the issue. To realize the aim of the study, the review method was followed and the theoretical analysis was done. Generally, in the media programmes are done without being considered the development features of the children and the themes of narcotic drugs, theft, becoming a sense of alienation from Turkish language and culture are imposed on them by means of magazine programmes, negative role models and marginal events. In the children education, first of all the responsibilities of families, schools, mass media and then everbody’s duties should be reminded continuously. Families and media authorities and then all the people concerned to the child’s education and development should be informed and made conscious. Considering the childhood, puberty, adolescence periods’ development features, in the media the programmes that supported by the healthy, carefully considered, appropriate personalities and models should be made and also some necessary precautionary measures should be taken to observe, supervise and evaluate the processes and results continuously.
