Coğrafya öğretmenlerinin öğretim teknolojileri ve materyalleri kullanma düzeyleri

Bu çalısmanın amacı, 2007–2008 ögretim yılında Van il merkezi, ilçe merkezleri ve kasabalarındaki ortaögretim okullarında görev yapan cografya ögretmenlerinin, derslerinde ögretim materyallerini ne düzeyde kullanabildiklerinin ve ögretim materyallerini kullanamıyorsa sebeplerinin ne oldugunun ve duruma iliskin sonuç ve önerilerin ortaya çıkarılmasıdır. Çalısmada, arastırma yöntemlerinden olan betimsel yöntem kullanılmıstır. Çalısma grubunu Van ili ortaögretim okullarında çalısan cografya ögretmenlerinin tamamı olusturmaktadır. )lgili durumları tespit etmek amacıyla Sezer ve arkadasları (2005) tarafından gelistirilen anket formu, çalısmayı yürüten arastırmacılar tarafından bizzat çalısma grubuna uygulanmıs, elde edilen veriler yüzde ve frekans tabloları halinde degerlendirilmistir. Yapılan degerlendirmeler sonucunda; ortaögretim okullarında gerekli materyal ve malzemenin olmayısı ögretimi olumsuz yönde etkilemektedir. Birçok ögretim materyalinin ögretmenler tarafından nasıl kullanılacagının bilinmemesinden dolayı, bu hususlarda ögretmenlerin bu materyalleri kullanmaları dogrultusunda desteklenip, bu konularda hizmet içi egitimlere önem verilmelidir.

The aim of this study is to determine the usage and non-usage percentages of the educational materials by the geography teachers who have been working during the 2007-2008 education year, in Van province. At the same time the study also aims to determine the reasons for not using these materials, presents the results and offer some suggestions.In the study, the descriptive method was used which was one of the research methods. All of the geography teachers were included in the study in Van. To determine the related situations a survey which was developed by Sezer and friends (2005) was applied to the teachers by the researchers. The data was evaluated as percentage and frequency tables. As a result, the geography education is affected negatively because of the lack of the teaching materials at these schools. Owing to the lack of the knowledge about using the materials, geography teachers must be supported to use the teaching materials and these teachers must be trained about the usage of the educational materials at the in-service courses.
