Babanzâde ahmet naim ve ahmet ağaoğlu’na göre da’vâ-yı ahlâk-ı amelî

Ahmet Ağaoğlu ve Babanzâde Ahmet Naim, Osmanlı'nın son dönemi ile Cumhuriyet'in ilk yıllarında yaşamış ve bu dönemlerdeki dinî, siyasî ve toplumsal gelişmelerle ilgili olarak yazdıklarıyla o döneme damgasını vurmuş iki aydındır. Ahlâk konusu ise dönemin, üzerinde en çok söz söylenen meselelerinden biri olmuştur. Hızlı bir değişim ve dönüşümün yaşandığı toplumsal yapıda, bireysel ve toplumsal ahlâk, her bir düşünce akımının kendi sistematiği içerisinde şekillendirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Biz bu yazımızda, İslamcı görüşleriyle temâyüz etmiş Babanzâde Ahmet Naim ile daha çok Türkçülük yanlısı fikirleriyle etkili olmuş Ahmet Ağaoğlu'nun, ahlâkın amelî/pratik yönüyle alakalı görüş ve düşüncelerini tespit ve değerlendirmeye çalıştık. Ahmet Naim, din/İslam kaynaklı bir ahlâkı savunurken, Ahmet Ağaoğlu ise dinin ahlâk sahasında söz sahibi olmasını kısmen kabul etmekle birlikte, daha çok modernizmin şekillendirdiği, rasyonalist temelli bir ahlâktan yana tavır alır.

Babanzade Ahmet Naim and Ahmet Agaoglu are the two intellectuals who lived in the late Ottoman era and the first years of Republic, and also marked with the writings in relation with religious, political and social developments in these periods. Issue of morals has been one of the most mentioned issues during changing conditions of the era. Individual and social morality have been tried to be shaped each thought movement in its own systematics in experiencing rapid change and transformation of social structure. In this our article, we have distinguished Ahmet Naim who is acknowledged with the ideas and thoughts of Islamic aspects and Ahmet Agaoglu who was more effective with the ideas of pro-Turkism. We have tried to evaluate their thoughts related to practical morals. Ahmet Naim defended a morality which is an Islamic origin but Ahmet Agaoglu partially accepted religion that have a voice in the morals area and he takes a stand for rationalist-based morality, which also rather shaped by modernism. Not to exceed the volume of this article, we think to evaluate their ideas of theoretical morals in another article.
