Türk boğazlarındaki hâkimiyetin tescili: montreux boğazlar sözleşmesi

Montreux Boğazlar Sözleşmesi ile Türkiye, Boğazlar üzerindeki hâkimiyeti sağlamıştır. Türk Boğazları; hem Osmanlı Devleti’nde hem Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nde hâkimiyetin aslî unsurlarından biri olmuştur ve olmaya da devam edecektir. Bu yüzden Montreux Boğazlar Sözleşmesi’nin sözleşmenin muhafazası mutlak surette sağlanmalı, gerekli yenilik ve değişimler, mevcut 1994-1998 tüzüklerine uygun bir şekilde belirlenmelidir. Aksi halde Boğazlarda yeniden müzakere sürecinin başlaması, muhtemelen Türkiye’nin diğer devletler karşısında yalnız bırakılma olasılığını doğuracaktır ve Türkiye’nin, Türk Boğazları’nı risk etme lüksü yoktur.

Montreux Straits Convention ,

Turkish Republic gained ascendancy over Straits with Montreux Straits Convention in 1936. Turkish Straits was the main supreme subject in Ottoman’s sovereignty; in the modern times, Turkish Straits is one of the the main subject for Turkish Republic’s sovereignty, even in the future it will have the same importance. In this case the rules of Montreux Straits Convention must be saved without any changes. If some changes and modernizations about it will be made, these changes should be made suitably with 1994-1998 Regulations. Otherwise starting some discussions about Turkish Straits may cause isolation from the world of Turkish Republic. In the light of above mentioned facts that it can be concluded that there is no run a risk of Turkish Republic about Turkish Straits.
