Ortaöğretimde görsel sanatlar dersinin gerekliliği üzerine farklı branşlardaki öğretmenlerin görüşleri

Yaşamın her noktasında önemli bir yeri bulunan görsel sanatlar eğitimine özellikle öğretmenlerin bakışları ve düşünceleri çok önem taşımaktadır. Hangi branşta olursa olsun öğretmenlerin görsel sanatlar eğitimine verdikleri önem öğrencilerini etkileyecek ve yaşamlarında bu eğitim sürecinin gerekliliğini çevrelerindeki izlenimleri ile belirleyeceklerdir. Araştırmada Ankara Atatürk Anadolu Lisesi’ndeki farklı branşlardaki öğretmenlerin görsel sanatlar eğitimine ilişkin görüşleri alınmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak “Ankara Atatürk Anadolu Lisesi’ndeki Faklı Branş Öğretmenlerinin Görsel Sanatlar Dersinin Gerekliliğine İlişkin Görüşlerini Belirleme Anketi” kullanılmıştır. Çalışma, tarama modelindedir. Verilerin analizi aşamasında, Sosyal Bilimler İstatistik Programı (SPSS-Social Science Statistic Program) kullanılmıştır. Verilerin kategorilere ayrılmasını takiben, SPSS programıyla frekans ve yüzdeler bulunarak, veriler grafikler halinde sunulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmenlerin çoğunluğunun sanatın herhangi bir dalı ile ilgilenmedikleri, çocuklarının meslek olarak sanatın herhangi bir dalını seçmelerini istemedikleri anlaşılmıştır. Bunun yanı sıra öğretmenlerin çoğunluğu ara sıra bulundukları şehirde görsel sanatlar ile ilgili etkinliklere katılmaktadırlar. Çalışma sonucunda ayrıca Ortaöğretim kurumlarında görsel sanatlar dersinin bir ders olarak okutulmasının da öğretmenler tarafından çok gerekli görülmediği ortaya çıkmıştır. Çalışma sonuçları doğrultusunda öğretmenlerin sanatsal etkinliklere katılımları sağlanmasının ve teşvik edilmesinin gerekliliği, Ortaöğretim kurumlarındaki öğretmenlerin sanatsal etkinliklerden haberdar olmaları için resim-iş öğretmenlerinin Güzel Sanatlar Eğitimi Bölümleri’ndeki öğretim elemanları ile işbirliği içerisinde olmaları gerekliliği önerilmiştir.

The views and thoughts of the teachers towards the education of visual arts that cover significant places in every point of life are very important. Whatever their branches, the importance they put on the visual art education will make impact on their pupils and they will determine through their observations the necessity of this education period. In the study, we have obtained the views of teachers from different branches at the Ankara Atatürk Anatolian High School on the visual art education. “The survey for determining the views of the teachers of different branches at the Ankara Atatürk Anatolian High School on the Necessity of the Visual Arts Subject” has been used in the study. The study is a screening model. At the analysis stage of the data, we have used SPSS-Social Science Statistic Program. Following the categorization of data, we have found frequencies and percentages with the SPSS program and presented the data in graphics. The study has shown that the majority of the teachers are not interested in any branches of art and that they don’t want their children to choose any branch of art as profession. Besides, majority of the children attend to visual arts events in their cities. The study has revealed that the teachers don’t agree with teaching visual arts as a subject in the secondary education schools. It has been suggested that it is essential to ensure the participation of the teachers in art events and to encourage them to do so, and to have cooperation between the painting and craft teacher and the education staff at the Visual Arts Education Departments to keep the teachers of the Secondary Education informed about the art events.
