Klasik ilim tasniflerinde edebî ilimlerin yeri

Bu çalışmanın amacı, edebî ilimlerin klasik ilimler tasnifindeki yerini belirlemektir. Çalışmada, tespit edilen farklı yedi tasnif hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Bu tasnifler değerlendirilerek şu sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır: Edebî ilimler, başka ilimler için araç olduklarından dolayı alet ilimler (el-ulûmu’l-âliye); İslâm’ın etkisiyle gelişerek birer disiplin haline gelmiş olmaları nedeniyle şer’î ilimler (el-ulûmu’ş-şer’iyye) veya naklî ilimler (el-ulûmu’n-nakliye) sınıfına dahil edilmiş; eğitim ve öğretim veya mevzuları olan varlıkların dereceleri göz önünde bulundurularak yapılan sınıflandırmalarda ise ilimler arasındaki hiyerarşik düzenin dikey boyutunda birinci sıraya yerleştirilmiştir.

The aim of this study is to determine the place of the literary sciences in the classification of the sciences applied by Muslim scientists up to the modern age. Through the study, the reader is given information about seven different types of classification established by the author. The results of the evaluation of these classification types are as follow: Firstly, literary sciences are classified as “medium sciences” because they are concidered as means of other sciences. Secondly, literary sciences are classified as “canonical sciences” for they have turned into a “discipline” through a development affected by Islâm. Thirdly and lastly, the sciences are classified according to education or to the degree of beings which are the subjects of these sciences. In this classification, literary sciences are placed on top of the vertical dimension of hierarchical order among sciences.
