New Age akımı, seküler ve materyalist anlayışlara karşı tavır takınmakla birlikte, mevcut dinlere de alternatif olarak ortaya çıkmış, çağdaş bir yaklaşımdır. Belli bir görüşü temsil etmeyen ve kendilerini dinî olarak da nitelendirmeyen New Age akımı, Yahudilik, Hıristiyanlık, İslamiyet, Budizm gibi geleneksel dinlerin ana öğelerini içermektedir. New Age akımı, Teosofi hareketinin çağdaş bir versiyonu olduğu söylenebilir. Zira bu anlayış, New Age öğretilerinin kuruluşunda kilit rol oynamıştır Bu nedenle senkretik bir yapıdadır. Ufo kültü, New Age akımının bir yansımasıdır. Mistik bir yapısı olan UFO kültü, daha çok bilinmeyen ve görülmeyen uzaysal varlıklarla irtibat kurulması sonucu, onların mesajlarıyla oluşmuştur. 1960’lı yıllarda California çıkışlı olan Ufo kültünün temel yapısı, Hıristiyan dünyasında heretik bir yansıma olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Dünya Kardeşlik Birliği Mevlana Yüce Vakfı, Batıdaki Ufo tarikatlarının Türkiye versiyonudur. Bülent Çorak hanımın önderliğini çektiği akım, Türkiye’nin sosyo-kültürel yapısına uygun olarak uyarlanmıştır. Kutsal nitelikli olup bir çok dile çevirisi yapılan Bilgi Kitabı’na sahip olan tarikat, çeşitli kentlerde şubeler açmıştır. Türkiye dışında daha çok İsrail, Almanya, Hollanda ve Avusturya gibi ülkelerde de odak kurmuştur. Yahudilik ve Hıristiyanlık yanında İslamiyetin temel prensipleri bağlamında Heretik bir yapıda olan DKB, sistem itibarıyla Doğu’da daha çok Hasan Sabbah hareketine, Batıda ise bir çok yönden Unarius ve Rael tarikatına benzemektedir

The New Age movements are defined as alternative contemporary forms of religion. Their creeds are considered to have a strong countercultural component, which criticizes the mainstream cultural paradiramazrgm of modern Turkish societie. The new agers reject both, the traditional Muslim and the secular Cartesian thinking. Instead they propose holistic, unifying cosmovision, which would overcome the established division to the spirit and matter. Most New Age practices and beliefs may be characterized as a form of alternative spirituality or alternative religion, even apparent exceptions. The most importante new age sect in Turkey is “The World Brotherhood Union Universal Unification Center Association” and “The World Brotherhood Union Mevlana Supreme Foundation” in the year 1993. This is an international UFO organization that claims to be dedicated to world peace and enlightenment. They made official their Universal work, which it has been taking into effect since the year 1966 in Anatolian Turkey. They have a book that has a sacred character THE KNOWLEDGE BOOK (Bilgi Kitabi) like “The Urantia Book”. Many of the ideas of the DKB movement are elements of older spiritual and religious traditions especially Islamic sects traditions. The introduction of this phenomenon into society brought about rumors as to the meanings behind these unidentified flying objects. Soon, people began to believe that UFOs had made contact with humans. Some of these contactees wrote books, gave lectures, and formed small groups of friends following them. These groups could be characterized as UFO audience cults. Like many audience cults, these groups serve as a form of social entertainment rather than a serious life commitment. A very common belief is the idea that only a select few (contactees) can communicate with UFOs. Since these contactees are the only way for others to receive the messages sent by UFO, followers must put full faith into what the contactees report. They have many members in Turkey. In addition, they have many focal points serving in the medium of the “Knowledge Book” in the entire World. Some of these are in Germany, Israel, Russia, England, Holland, and US. DKB movement tries to change the mainstream perception of the human body in religious searching. But in many cases such sacred bodywork mixes with different secular practices.
