Ehl-i sünnet’te dinî bir otorite olarak ‘selef’ fikrinin ortaya çıkışı

İslam düşüncesinin tarihte yaşadığı ve hatta günümüze de miras kalan en büyük bunalımı, öyle görünüyor ki, hayatın problemlerinin kendi iç bütünlüğü içinde değerlendirilmeyip, toplumsal meselelerde ‘nass’tan veya ‘fikir’ den hareket etmeye çalışmak olmuştur. Böylece ‘olgu’ görmezlikten gelinmiş, uygun olanı sosyal realitenin içinde arama ihmal edilmiştir. Bu durum akliliğin, insanî görüşün ve değerlendirmenin akamete uğramasını beraberinde getirmiştir. Hayat âdeta, önceden düşünülerek yapılmış bir planın zamanla isabetli bir şekilde işleyişi olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Bunun için “Hakikat”, geçmişte belirlenmiştir; Allah ve Resulü’nün kutsadığı ilk nesiller eliyle ‘din’ tamamlanmıştır; Selef asrında İslam ümmetinin ihtiyaçlarına dayanan en faydalı meseleler çözülmüştür; bütün beşeri ihtiyaçlar temin edilmiş, bizim direkt olarak çözmemize bağlı hiçbir mesele bırakılmamıştır şeklinde özetlenebilecek bir düşünce düzlemi İslam anlayışını kuşatmıştır.

It appears that the biggest crisis of Islam thought in its whole history and today has been the fact of not evaluating the problems of the life in its internal integrity and moving from “nass” and “thought”. Thus, “phenomenon” has not come into sight, searching the appropriate with in the social reality and using social reality in the context of judgments has been neglected. This has brought about an interruption in terms of reasonism and humanitarian thought. Life itself has been evaluated as the correct functioning of what was planned before with in time. For this reason such constructs of thoght has dominated the perception of Islam: the reality is determined in the past; “religion” is completed by the hands of the first generations that Allah and his Prophet Mohammed sanctified; the most beneficial problems based on the needs of Islam society in the age of Salaf; all the human needs are met, so nothing is left to us that we can solve directly.
