Bilgisayar teknolojileri programı mezunu öğrencilerinin çalışma durumları ve yetkinlikleri ile ilgili görüşleri

Bu araştırmada, Yalova Meslek Yüksekokulu Bilgisayar Teknolojileri Mezunu Bölümünden mezun öğrenciler üzerinde yapılmışır. 2009-2012 arasında mezun olan öğrencilerden 85’ine ulaşılmış şu anda çalışıp çalışmadığı, çalışıyorsa hangi sektörde çalıştığı, bilgisayar sektöründe çalışıyorsa iş bulma sürecinin nasıl olduğu, farklı sektörse çalışıyorsa nedeni? Mezun olduğunda mesleki yeterliliği hakkındaki düşüncesi, şu andaki meslek yeterliliği hakkıda düşüncesi, okulda verilen eğitimin iyileştirilmesi hakkında görüşleri sorulmuştur. Araştırmada, mezunların doğrudan kendi mesleğini yapanların %15’e yakın, dolaylı olarak bilgisayar alanında çalışanlarla, farklı alanda çalışanların oranlarının birbirine denk olduğu görülmüştür. Farklı alanda çalışma nedeninin, iş sahasının olmaması (%32) ve kendini mesleki alanda yeterli hissetmemesi(%27) ifadeleri öne çıkmıştır. Mezunların önemli bir kısmı okulda verilen eğitimin daha fazla uygulama ve proje bazlı olması gerektiğini ifade etmiştir.

This research was made on graduated students who finished Yalova Vocational School of Higher Education.In this research, the researcher contacted to 85 students that was graduated between the years of 2009-2011 and was examined their opinions whether they had been working or not.If they were working in which field they were working and if they were working on Information Technologies field how the finding a job process had been and the reason of it if the graduate had been working in different area . The researcher also asked the opinon of the gradute about his vocational qualifications when he finished school and his current thoughts to improve the quality of the education in the school. In the research It was discovered that It was about %15 who were working on their own field and, who were indirectliy working in the Iformation Technologies was equal to the graduates who were working on different fields.The prior reasons of working in different job areas were lack of work area Information Technologies(%32), feeling indeficiency in the profession(%27). Majority of the graduates declared that there should have been more Project Based Education in the school.
