Sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adaylarinin 5.sinif sosyal bilgiler ders kitabindaki etkinlikler hakkindaki görüşleri

Ülkemizdeki çoğu sınıflarda öğretmen planları ve okuma etkinlikleri ders kitaplarına dayalı olduğu için, bunların öğretim programına uygun hazırlanması önemlidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının, Milli Eğitim bakanlığı Talim ve Terbiye Kurulu tarafından hazırlanan 5.sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitabındaki
etkinliklerin öğrenci merkezli eğitime uygunluğuna yönelik görüşlerini araştırmaktır. Çalışmaya, Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi Fatih Eğitim Fakültesi’nde öğrenim gören 70 4.sınıf sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adayı gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Örneklem, 8 hafta boyunca ders kitaplarının analizinde kullanılan yöntem ve yaklaşımlar hakkında eğitilmiştir. Öğretmen adaylarının ders kitabındaki etkinliklere yönelik görüşlerini araştırmak için nitel bir araştırma yaklaşımı kullanılmıştır. Verileri toplamak için araştırmacı tarafından 6 açık uçlu sorudan oluşan bir anket hazırlanmıştır. Anketten elde edilen sonuçlar, öğretmen adaylarının ders kitabındaki etkinlikleri; bazı
açılardan yeterli bulduğu, bazı açılardan ise yetersiz bulduğunu göstermektedir.

In our country, teaching programs, textbooks, teachers’ guides and students’ workbooks for all courses in middle schools have been prepared by the Ministry of Education Head Council of Education and Morality. The preparation of textbooks according to curriculum is important because teachers’ planning and reading activities in most classes was based on the content of the textbooks. The purpose of the present study is to investigate the perception of social studies student teachers about 5th grade social studies textbook developed by the Ministry of Education. 70 social studies student teachers in the final year at Karadeniz Technical University of Fatih Faculty of Education were voluntarily participated in the present study. The sample has been trained about the methods and approaches used in analyzing the textbooks for 8 weeks. A qualitative research approach was used in the study to investigate student teachers’ perception about the textbook. A questionnaire consisting of 6 open-ended questions was developed by the author to collect data. The results from the questionnaire indicate that student teachers find that while activities in the textbook are sufficient in some ways, they are insufficient in some ways.
