Sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumlarının incelenmesi

Bu çalışma sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının, öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumlarının; cinsiyet, sınıf düzeyi ve mezun olunan lise türü değişkenlerine göre incelenmeyi amaçlamıştır. Araştırma; 2011–2012 eğitim-öğretim yılı güz yarıyılında Artvin Çoruh Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Sınıf Öğretmenliği Anabilim Dalı'nda öğrenim gören 192 üniversite öğrencisi ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Üstüner (2006) tarafından geliştirilen 34 maddelik Öğretmenlik Mesleğine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada, betimsel tarama modeli kullanılmış ve öğretmen adaylarının tutum ölçeğine verdikleri cevaplardan elde edilen veriler SPSS programı yardımıyla analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmen adaylarının öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumlarının cinsiyete, sınıf düzeyine ve mezun olunan lise türü değişkenlerine göre farklılıklar tespit edilmemiştir.

Rapid changes and developments have been occuring in the field of education as it is the case in every field during the globalization process. As a consequence of these changes, the roles the teachers who play a highly important role in educating the individuals of our future assume are affected by these changes and gain more importance within the framework of the innovations experienced in the field of education. In regard to this importance, the attitudes the would-be teachers have towards the profession are highly important as well. Therefore, in this study it has been aimed to analyse the would-be teachers' attitudes towards the profession according to the variables of gender, class level, and type of the school they graduated from. The study has been carried out with 192 students attending Artvin Çoruh University, Faculty of Education, Department of Classroom Teaching Division in the fall term of 2011–2012 education year. In the study 34-item Attitude Measurement Scale for Teaching Profession developed by Üstüner has been employed as a means of datacollection. In addition, descriptive scanning model has been employed and the data obtained from the responds the would-be teachers have given in the scale has been analysed through SPSS. As a result, it has been found out that there aren't differences in the attitudes of the would-be teachers towards the profession according to the variables of gender, class level, and type of the school they graduated from.
