Okul öncesi dönem işitme engellilerde müzik eğitimi ile çocuklarin gelişim özellikleri üzerine terapötik bir çalişma

Bu araştırmada, okul öncesi dönem işitme engellilerde müzik eğitimi ile çocukların gelişim özellikleri üzerine terapötik bir çalışma yapılmış olup, bu çalışmada müzik eğitiminin okul öncesi işitme engelli çocukların gelişim özelliklerine olan etkilerini belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, Özel İlk İletişim Rehabilitasyon Merkezi’ne devam eden 5-6 yaş grubu okul öncesi dönem 20 çocuk ile yapılmıştır. 20 çocuk 10 deney ve 10 kontrol grubu olmak üzere iki gruba ayrılmıştır. Deney grubundaki 10 öğrenciye 16 hafta boyunca okul öncesi işitme engelli çocukların özelliklerine uygun bir müzik eğitimi programı uygulanmış, bu programın içerisinde müzik ile ilgili eğitsel yaklaşımların yanında müzik terapisi ile ilgili teröpatik çalışmalara da yer verilmiştir. Kontrol grubuna müzik eğitimi ile ilgili herhangi bir uygulama yapılmamıştır.
Araştırma 16 hafta sürmüş, deney grubu ve kontrol grubundaki çocuklara “Marmara Gelişim Ölçeği”nin 4 alt boyutu kullanılarak denel işlemin öncesinde ve sonrasında öntest-sontest uygulaması yapılmıştır. Araştırmada; Oktay ve Aydın (2002) tarafından geliştirilen “Marmara Gelişim Ölçeği” nin yanında “Gözlem Formu” ve “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” da kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde Mann Whitney U ve Wilcoxon testleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen verilere göre; okul öncesi dönem işitme engellilerde müzik eğitimi ile çocukların gelişim özellikleri üzerine terapötik çalışma yapmak amacıyla geliştirilen müzik eğitimi programının çocuklarda özbakım becerilerini, bedensel gelişimi, zihinsel gelişimi ve dil gelişimini destekleyebileceği yönünde bulgulara rastlanmıştır.

This paper includes a therapeutic study on music education in pre-school hearing-impaired children and their development characteristics, that aims to determine the effects of music education on the development characteristics of pre-school hearing-impaired children. The subjects of the study included 20 pre-school
children of the age group 5-6, attending the “Private İlk İletişim rehabilitation Center”.The 20 children were divided into two groups of 10 children, namely the experimental group and the control group.The 10 students in the experimental group experienced a 16-week music education program suitable for the characteristics of pre-school hearing-impaired children, that included therapeutic studies related to music therapy, in addition to the educational approaches on music.The control group  experienced no such program related to music education. The study lasted for 16 weeks, and the children in the experimental and control groups were applied pre-tests and post-tests prior to and following the experimental procedures, using the 4 sub-dimensions of the “Marmara Development Scale” .The “Marmara Development Scale”, developed by Oktay and Aydın (2002), the "Observation Form” and the “Personal Information Form” were used in the study. Wilcoxon tests were used for the analysis of data. The results of the study revealed findings that the music education program developed in order to conduct a
therapeutic study on music education in pre-school hearing-impaired children and their development characteristics may support the development of the, self-care skills, as well as the physical, mental, and language development of children.
