Lisansüstü eğitimde kullanılan öğrenci bilgi sistemi

Bu çalışmada, lisansüstü eğitimde kullanılan öğrenci bilgi sistemi ve özellikleri incelenmiştir. Lisansüstü eğitimde kullanılan ve özellikle öğrenci işleri tarafından kullanılan öğrenci bilgi sistemi, öğrencinin aldığı derslerin ve notların izlenmesi gibi ağırlıklı olarak veri toplayarak işlemsel düzeydeki bilgileri izlemeyi amaçlasa da, verilen eğitimle ilgili birçok kararda önemli rol oynayan bir takım istatistiksel bilgiler de sistem tarafından sağlanmaktadır. Lisansüstü eğitimi kazanan öğrencilerin; öğretim üyelerinin ders yükleri, öğrencilerin başarı istatistikleri, afla gelen öğrenciler, kaydı silinen öğrencilerin dağılımları, yatay-dikey geçiş yapan öğrenci sayıları görülebilmektedir. Lisansüstü eğitimde kullanılan bilgi sisteme ayrıca akademik personele ait bilgilerin internetten görüntülenip, güncelleme yapılabilmesine olanak sağlayan ve akademik personel ile ilgili bilgilerin alınabildiği bir sistemdir. Yukarıda özelliklerinden söz edilen öğrenci bilgi sistemi üniversitelerde, lisansüstü eğitim yapan öğrencilerin, öğretim elemanlarının işlerini oldukça rahatlatan ve kolaylaştıran bir sistemdir. İleriki yıllarda daha aktif ve verimli kullanılacağı kaçınılmaz bir gerçektir. Bu çalışmada elde edilen sonuçlara göre; eğitimde teknolojinin kullanım hedefleri, eğitimde bilişim teknolojilerinin önemi, akademik ortamların bilişim teknolojisine gereksinimleri ile internetin sağladığı olanaklar, lisansüstü eğitimde internetin özellikleri açıklanarak, Ankara ve Gazi Üniversitesi Eğitim Bilimleri Enstitüsü, Bahçeşehir Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü ile Cambridge Üniversitesi Lisansüstü Öğrenci Bilgi ve Kayıt sistemleri incelenmiştir. Bu inceleme sonucunda Ankara Üniversitesi Eğitim Bilimleri Enstitüsü Öğrenci Bilgi Sistemine yönelik değerlendirme ve önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

This study analyses the student information system that is used in postgraduate education and its features. Even though the student information system, which is used in postgraduate education and especially by student affairs, aims to follow operational information by mainly collecting data such as monitoring the lessons and notes taken by students, some statistical information that play an important role in many decisions about the education are also provided by the system. Regarding the students who have been entitled to the postgraduate education; course loads of academic members, success statistics of students, students who came with amnesty, distributions of students whose registration is canceled and number of students who make internal-vertical transfer could be seen. Information system that is used in postgraduate education is also a system, where information about the academic members could be displayed and updated on the internet and information about the academic members could be received. The aforementioned student information system is a system that enables the affairs of students and instructors who do master degree at universities. It is an inevitable truth that it will be used more actively and efficiently in the following years. According to the results obtained from this study; explanations were made about the objective of technological use in education, importance of information technologies in education, need of academical environments for information technology, facilities of internet and features of internet in postgraduate education; Postgraduate Student Information and Register systems of Ankara and Gazi University-Institute of Education Sciences, Bahçeşehir University-Social Sciences Institute and Cambridge University were examined. At the end of this examination, some assessments and suggestions were made, regarding the Student Information System of Ankara University-Institute of Education Sciences.
