Different approaches in practice have been developed due to increasing the importance of early childhood education . One of these different approaches having emerged in France after the First World War is Celestin Freinet approach. In Celestine Freinet Aprroach, which suggests begining reading in early childhood with a natural curiosity, the writing is seen as tool for communication and reading is seen as a way of learning new something. The basis of reading-writing activities ( emergent litracy) poses Free expression, Free text, class dairy and correspondence with different schools of which the strating point formed by the child's interest and experiences. In this study based on descriptive approach the data were collected through participant observation, observations were recorded in written and visual. The observation of 4-8 age group students in three differenet classes in the HoofddorpFreinet School have been carried out for 5 days. According to the results of this study, Celestin Freinet approach considerably provides opportunity for developing instructional process with respect to child's interests and experiences, gaining to be responsible for his/her own learning and gaining social life skills.
