Tavukçuluk sektörünün türk ekonomisindeki yeri ve durumu (the place and situation of poultry industry in turkish economy)

Tavukçuluk sektörü son zamanlarda kendinden çokça bahsettiren bir sektör olmuştur. Özellikle, kuş gribi nedeniyle sektörün zor duruma girmesi Türk ekonomisi içinde payının ne kadar büyük olduğunu da ortaya koymaktadır. Böyle bir sektörün, özellikle Türkiye gibi her yıl ödemeler dengesi açık veren bir ülkede dikkatle incelenmesi gereklidir. Sektör bir yandan yurtiçi protein açığını ucuz olarak kapatırken, diğer yandan ihracat yoluyla döviz girdisi sağlamaktadır. Özellikle katkı payı fazla olan tavukçuluk sektörünün önümüzdeki günleri tanıtım, halkla ilişkiler faaliyetleri ile geçirecekleri, finansal yönden kendilerini güçlendirme yönünde yeni dış pazarlara yönelerek, iç pazarda yoğun bir rekabete gidecekleri beklentisi bulunmaktadır. Bu makalede, Türk ekonomisi içinde bir hayli önemli hale gelen tavukçuluk sektörünün ülke ve dünya ekonomisindeki yeri; üretim, tüketim, ihracat ve ithalat açısından incelenerek, sektörün gelişim seyrine göre sorun ve sıkıntılarının ortaya koyularak çözüm aranmasına çalışılmıştır.

Recently, poultry industry is the most discussed sector in the world. Especially, due to bird flu, it falls the sector in a difficult situation which has a big portion in the Turkish economy, made it more important than ever. Such a sector must be examined more carefully, especially in a country like Turkey, where deficit in balance of payment creating a notable problem each year. Sector not only covers the lack of protein for the Turkish people cheaply, but also provides income by export. According to the forecasts concerning the future of the poultry sector, which has so much contribution margin, will spend oncoming periods with efforts of structurization and public relations, trying to find new foreing markets to gain financial power and will have a intensive competition in domestic markets. In this paper, the situation of poultry sector which had became important for Turkish economy is studied from production, consumption, export and import point of view, and examined to answer by manifesting the problems.
