Bu çalışma Sümerbank Nazilli Basma Fabrikası’nın kuruluş nedenleri ile ülkeye olan sosyo-ekonomik katkılarını konu edinmektedir. Ayrıca makalede 66 yıl ülkeye hizmet eden fabrikanın nasıl kapanış noktasına geldiği irdelenmektedir. Makalenin temel amacı Nazilli Basma Fabrikası örneğinde ülkenin mevcut ekonomik durumu ve gerçeklerine atıf yapmak suretiyle Sümerbank ve Etibank gibi önemli kuruluşların ülkede yüklendiği misyona dikkat çekmektir. Bu anlamda çalışma Ulu Önder Atatürk’ün bizlere emanet ettiği değerler noktasında kendimizi ve her şeyi yeni baştan sorgulamak, gerek işletmeler, gerekse bireyler bazında tarihten ders almak suretiyle geleceğe çıkarımlar sağlamanın önemini vurgulamaktadır.

This study examines the establishing reasons of Sümerbank Nazilli Print-Textile Factory as well as its socio-economic contributions to the country. Moreover it analyses why the factory came to the end-point after producing 66 years. The main onbejctive of this article is to pay attention to the national mission of Sümerbank and Etibank by underlining the present economic situation and realities of the country in the example of Nazilli Print-Textile Factory. So the study focuses on emphasizing the critical role of getting projections for future from historical events or misfortunes as a firm or a person by re-examing everything and values left by Great Leader Atatürk for us to be kept.
