Tarih - edebiyat ilişkisi ve tarihî romanların tarih öğretimine katkısı

Edebiyat, tarih, felsefe ve sosyoloji gibi bilimsel sahalar, kendi özel alanlarında bağımsız birer disiplindir. Başlangıçta tarih, edebiyatın bir biçimi olarak yer almaktayken 19. yüzyıl başlarında tarihçilerin kendi bilimsel yöntemlerini kullanarak tarih - edebiyat arasındaki ayırımı inşa ettikleri görülür. Böylece edebiyat, insanın duygu ve düşüncelerinin, felsefî yaklaşımlarının ifadesi; tarih ise, insanoğlunun zaman içinde yaşadığı vakaların kaydı olarak ayrışır. Ancak bu iki disiplin arasındaki ilişki, her zaman aktif kalmaya devam eder. Zira bunlardan biri olmadan diğerinin anlaşılması güçtür. Bu nedenle çocukların eğitiminde program geliştirmek adına tarih – edebiyat korelasyonu, interdisipliner yaklaşım çerçevesinde bir zorunluluk olarak karşımıza çıkar. Bu temelde pedagojik bir yaklaşım olarak tarihî romanların tarih öğretimindeki rolünün araştırılması konusu, tarihçiler kadar edebiyatçıları da ilgilendirmektedir. Edebiyat biliminde roman sanatını tarih eğitimi için bir araç olarak kullanma yöntemi Türk eğitim sisteminde yeterince yer alıyor mu? Tarih dersinde kültür ve medeniyet değişimine yol açan Tanzimat Dönemi gibi mühim bir tarihî evre verilirken Şinasi, Namık Kemal ve Ziya Paşa'nın yazıları hatırlanıyor mu? Bu döneme ait Ahmet Mithat Efendi gibi edebî şahsiyetlerin yeni insan tipini ve fikir açılımını yansıtan romanları okutuluyor mu? Atatürk İlkeleri ve İnkılâp tarihi öğretiminde Kurtuluş Savaşı ve sonrası döneme ilişkin roman ve hikâyeleri dersin tamamlayıcı bir unsuru olarak okuma ödevine dönüştürüyor muyuz? Tarih öğretirken tarihî romanlardan niçin ve nasıl yararlanmalıyız? Bu çalışmada sözü edilen soruların cevapları, konu uzmanlarının görüşlerinden yararlanılarak örnek kaynak ve yöntemlere müracaat edilerek aranacaktır.

The scientific areas such as literature,history,philosophy,sociology are the independent discipline in their special fields.While initially the history took part as a form of the literature , it is seen that the historians built the difference between the history and literature by using their own scientfic methods in the beginning of the nineteenth century. So the literature as the expresion of people's feelings and thoughts and philosophical approach, and the history as the record of events that human beings live in time, seperate from each other. But the relationship between these to disiplines always continues actively. Because it is difficult to understand one of them without the other. So the correlation of history and literature appears as a necessity to improve the program in the education of chıldren within the framework of interdisciplinary. On this basis the topic abouth inves tigation of the role of historical novels in history teaching as a pedagogical approach, not only concerns the historians, but also concerns the men of letter. Does the method of using the art of novel as a tool for the history education in the literature science,take part in the education system enough? Do you remember the writings of Şinasi, Namık Kemal and Ziya Paşa while you are teaching an important historical stage like The Period of Tanzimat causing the change of culture and civilization.Are the novels, reflecting a new human model and new ideas of the literary figures like Ahmet Mithat Efendi,taught by you?Do you convert the novel and stories about The War of Liberation and the postwar peiod,to the homework of reading as a complementary element of the lesson in the teaching of Atatürk's principals and revolution?Why and how can we benefit from the historical novels while we are teaching the history.The answers of these questions will be searched by utilizing from the views of the subjects specialists and by applying the sample sources and methods in our study.
