Etik mi? ahlak mı? modernite mi? medeniyet mi? (değerler eğitimine sosyal psikolojik bir yaklaşım)

İnsanlar akıl ve irade sahibi varlıklardır. Neyi, niçin, ne zaman, nasıl yapmaları gerektiğini bu yetilerine dayanarak gerçekleştirdiklerinden dolayı, yaptıkları şuurlu faaliyetlerin hesabını verirler. Diğer bir ifadeyle insan akıl sahibi olması hasebiyle hareketlerinden ve niyetlerinden sorumludur. Ayıca iyi ve kötüyü birbirinden ayıracak bir duyguya da sahip olmasına rağmen iyiyi de, kötüyü de seçebilmektedir. Demek ki, insanın karşısında bir takim seçenekler mevcuttur ve insan bu seçeneklerden herhangi birisini seçebilme hürriyetine sahiptir. Bu nedenle de insan niyetinden ve bu niyetine bağlı olarak gerçekleştirdiği hareketlerinin sonucundan sorumludur. Bu çalışmada değerler eğitimi bağlamında ahlak ve etik ayrımı ile bunun seküler moderniteye yansıması ya da medeniyet oluşturmaya katkısı tartışılmıştır.
