Bilgi toplumu; hızla değişen ve dönüşen dünyaya özgü, yeniden tanımlanan siyaset, kültür, teknoloji, ekonomi, eğitim gibi alt sistemlerden oluşan bir yapıya sahiptir. Türkiye toplumunun, bilgi toplumu haline gelebilmesi ve bu özelliğini devam ettirebilmesi için öncelikle bilgi toplumunu oluşturan bu alt sistemlere ve dinamiklere sahip olması gerekliliğinin yanı sıra bu alt sistemlere uygun bireyleri yetiştirmesi zorunluluğu söz konusudur. Bu da bilgi toplumuna has eğitim sisteminin eğitim kurumlarında uygulanmasıyla mümkündür. Ancak bunun için eğitim sürecinin önündeki birtakım engellerin ortadan kaldırılması gereklidir. Bu engellerden en önemlisi de kültürel engellerdir. Bu nedenle bu araştırmada amaç; "Türkiye toplumunun bilgi toplumu eğitimine geçişini engelleyen kültürel etkenleri belirleyerek bu soruna çözüm önerileri getirmek" olarak belirlenmiştir.
Information Society; has a structure that has formed by sub systems such as politics, culture, technology, economy, education which are redefined due to special to the world which has been rapid changed and transformed. For Turkey Society, in order to be able to become in case information society and to be able to have it continued, first of all, alongside the necessity to have these dinamics and sub systems which have formed the information society, the point in question is the necessity to train suitable individual for these sub systems. This is possible by putting special education system in practice for information society. But, for this, it is necessary to remove a number of obstacles from in front of education proces. The most important one from these obstacles is cultural obstacle. Therefore, the objective in this research has determined as "to bring solution suggestions for this problem, by determining the cultural factors which have inhibited the passing Turkey society into information society education."
