öğrencilerin psikolojik belirtileri ile ana-baba tutumları arasındaki ilişkiler

Bu çalışmada Lise öğrencilerinin psikolojik belirtileri ile ana-baba tutumları arasındaki ilişkiler incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemi Lise ikinci sınıfta okuyan 225 kız ve 223 erkek olmak üzere toplam 448 öğrenciden oluşmuştur. Öğrencilerin psikolojik belirtileri “Kısa Semptom Envanteri” (KSE); ana baba tutumları ise “Ana-Baba Tutumu Envanteri” ile ölçülmüştür. Ana- Baba Tutumu Envanteri’ne göre öğrencilerin Demokratik, Otoriter ve İlgisiz Ana Baba Tutumu boyutlarının puanları bulunmuş; daha sonra her ana-baba tutumu boyutunun öğrencilerin Hostilite, Somatizasyon, Depresyon, Anksiyete ve Olumsuz benlik belirtilerini nasıl ve ne ölçüde etkilediği belirlenmiştir. Araştırmada istatistiksel teknik olarak varyans analizi, regresyon analizi, t testi ve standart sapma kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada öğrencilerin hostilite, somatizasyon, depresyon, anksiyete ve olumsuz benlik belirtisi üzerine ana baba tutumunun önemli etkisi bulunduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Otoriter ana-baba tutumu öğrencilerin belirti düzeyini pozitif yönden etkilerken, demokratik ana-baba tutumunun negatif yönden etkilediği sonucuna varılmıştır. İlgisiz ana-baba tutumunun ise belirtiler üzerindeki etkisi istatistiksel yönden anlamlı bulunmamıştır.

In this study, the relation between the psychological symptoms of high school students and father-mother attitude was examined. The subjects were selected from 225 female and 223 male high school second year students, totally 448 students. The psychological symptoms of students were measured via “ Brief Symptom Inventory” and the attitude of mothers and fathers was measured through “Father and Mother Attitude Inventory”. According to Father and Mother Attitude Inventory the points of students in terms of the dimensions; democratic, authoritarian and indifferent attitude of parents were determined, then how and what degree each dimension of father and mather attitude affects the symptoms of students’ hostility, somatization, depression, anxiety and negative ego were determined. In the study in terms of statistical technic, variation analysis, regression analysis, t test, and standart deviation were used. Also, it was found out that the attitude of the mother and father has an important effect on students’ symptom of hostility, somatization, depression, anxiety and negative ego. While authoritarian attitude of parents positively affects students’ symptom levels, a democratic parents attitude affects negatively was discovered. Moreover, an indifferent attitude of parents has not found statistically meaningful in terms of the effects on symptoms.
