Geleneksel kayseri evlerinde süsleme

Kendine özgü mimarisiyle Kayseri evleri, zengin kültürel bir geçmişi yansıtır. Taş yapılar şehri olan Kayseri’de evler, etkileyici süsleme özelliklerine sahiptir. Taş, ahşap, duvar ve tavan resim-leri süslemeyi oluşturan başlıca unsurlardır. Taş malzemenin bol olarak bulunduğu şehirde taş, evlerin biçimlenmesinde ve süslenmesinde kullanılan en önemli malzemedir. Özellikle dış mekanda yoğunlaşan taş bezeme, iç mekanda ye-rini ahşaba bırakmıştır. Duvar ve tavanlar oyma, kabartma, ajur, gibi farklı tekniklerde zarif ahşap işçiliğinde değer-lendirilmiştir. 18. yüzyılda klasik süsleme anlayışı değişen Osmanlı mimarisinin yeni temsilcisi olan duvar ve tavan resimleri Kayseri evlerini süsleyen üçüncü süsleme unsuru olmuştur.

In civil architecture of Kayseri, that has a rich culturel background, the most characteristic structures are the houses. In the city of the store structures Kayseri, the houses have effective decoration characteristics. The pictures on store, wood, wall and ceiling are the main components of these attractive outfits. Stone is important and the most commonly used material that is prefered to format the houses and make their decorations due to existance of large amount ın the city. While the store is prefered for the decoration of the outer places, the tendency is to use wood as the decoration material for the iner places. The walls and ceilings are formatted by elegant wood workmanship using various techniques such as cutting, relief embroidery openwark. The pictures an the walls and ceilings that are the new representatives of the Otoman architecture, the clasical decoration understanding of which changes in the 18 th century, are the third decoration component of the Kayseri houses.
