Prevention and early intervention programs are thought to eliminate the negative effects of biological and environmental conditions and to provide more positive developmental circumstances. The studies related to the effects of early prevention and early intervention programs revealed that this kind of support have positive influences on the school success of children on the short term. In the long term, these programs cause to higher education and income levels, and they lessen the rates of crime. In other words these programs advance the socio economic level of the individuals and as a result of this they contribute to the social development. This study was intended to introduce the early prevention and intervention programs which are based on home visits and to investigate the assumed positive effects of them on children and parents.
