Eskişehir ili alpu ilçesinde savat gümüş işleme sanati

Tarihi süreç içerisinde insanların özelliklede kadınların yaşantısında önemli yeri olan takılar maddi açıdan güven kaynağı, estetik açıdan ise mükemmel süs unsuru olmuştur. Süslenmek ve güzel görünmek isteği çağlar boyunca her insanda az veya çok süregelmiştir. İnsanoğlunun var oluşundan itibaren oluşum göstermeye başlayan takı sanatı dönemlere göre farklılık göstermiş, gelişerek ve çeşitlenerek günümüze kadar gelmiştir. Günümüzde yöresel takılardan bazıları gerilemiş, değerini kaybetmiş bir kısmı da tümüyle ortadan kalkmıştır. Anadolu’da binlerce yıldır babadan oğulla ustadan çırağa aktarılan geleneksel takı üretim tekniklerinden bazıları ise özelliklerini yitirmeden günümüze kadar gelmiştir. Çağımızda yaşanan hızlı teknolojik gelişim her alanda makineleşmeyi de beraberinde getirmiştir. Seri üretim teknolojilerindeki yaşanan gelişme üretim maliyetlerindeki düşüşü pozitif bir değer olarak karşımıza çıkarırken, sanat niteliğinden uzak biri birinin kopyası sadece ihtiyaç gidermeye yönelik ürünlerin ortaya çıkmasına neden olmuştur. Aynı zamanda makineleşme popüler bazı üretim tekniklerinin ya yok olmasına ya da yok olmanın eşiğine gelmesine neden olmuştur. Kuyumculuk alanında kullanılan üretim tekniklerinden biriside savat tekniğidir. Üretim tekniğinin zorluğu, bu alanda seri üretim makinelerinin geliştirilmemesi ve bu sanatı uygulamaya çalışan ustaların zaman içerisinde ölmesine paralel olarak yerlerinin doldurulamaması tekniğin üretim verilerine ulaşılmasını kısıtlamıştır. Bu çalışmada Eskişehir İli Alpu ilçesinde üretilen savat gümüş işleme tekniği (yapım aşamaları) fotoğraflarla açıklanmış ve savatlı gümüş takılardan örnekler verilmiştir.

Jewelries, which have important place especially in the lives of women within historical process, have been anchor financially and perfect ornament element in terms of aesthetic. The desire for ornaments and looking good has always captured every person for centuries. The art of jewelry, which started to show existence since the beginning of the manhood, showed difference according to eras and reached today by improving and diversifying. Some of the regional jewelries degraded today and lost their value and some other totally disappeared. Some of the traditional jewelry production techniques, which are transferred from father to son, master to apprentice in Anatolia for thousands of years, reached today without loosing their properties. Fast technological development today brought mechanization nearly in every field. While the development experienced in serial production technologies, reduce of production costs appeared as a positive value, it also caused alike products far from art quality, which are only to satisfy needs. At the same time, mechanization caused some of the popular production techniques to extinct or come on the verge of extinction. Niello technique is one of the production techniques used in jewelry field. As this ancestral art passing from father to son couldn’t be replaced because of the difficulty of the production technique, lack of production machines in this field and death of the masters, who try to apply this art with traditional methods, there is limited accession to the production data of the technique. Thus, those, who are interested in this subject, have experienced difficulties. However, niello craft, which is still present today, performed by limited number of masters in Alpu region of Eskisehir. The aim of this study is to present and document niello silver dressing technique that is produced in Alpu region of Eskisehir. Raw materials, tools, production steps and product range used in niello silver dressing technique are supported by photographs and explained in the study relying on the masters in the region and literature information. Also, examples were given from silver jewelry and goods with niello.
