The first step in developing expertise-based training on story-telling in kindergartens

This study presents a rationale for the use of storytelling to engage kindergarten children in activities. Observation and content analysis were used to gather data. Two researchers conducted observations at four kindergartens, in which The Theatre Tempo performed a story-based play, The Snow-White Rabbit. The researchers conducted content analysis on the script of the play. Then, the researchers categorized the observation notes and the script. The teacher, who was a professional actor, engaged students in the story by acting out the play. He gave the children roles, asked them questions, and had them sing songs from the play. The children carefully watched the play and participated in the activities.

Bu çalışma anaokulu öğrencilerinin aktivitelere katılımı sağlamak için hikaye anlatımı yönteminin kullanımı üzerine bir rasyonel açıklama sunmaktadır. Data toplamak için gözlem ve içerik analizi yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. İki araştırmacı Tiyatro Tempo Grubunun hikaye temelli bir oyun olan Kar Beyaz Tavşan'ı sahnelediği dört tane anaokulunda gözlem yapmışlardır. Araştırmacılar, oyunun metni üzerine içerik analizi yöntemini uygulamışlardır. Sonrasında, araştırmacılar gözlem notlarını ve oyunun metnini kategorilemişlerdir. Profesyonel bir aktör olan öğretmen, öğrencileri oyuna oyunun metni dışına çıkarak katmıştır. Öğrencilere roller vermiş, sorular sormuş ve oyundan şarkılar söyletmiştir. Öğrenciler oyunu dikkatlice izlemiş ve aktivitelere katılmışlardır.
