Mavi boğaz (konya) ve çevresinin jeomorfolojik özellikleri

Arastırma sahası, Orta Toroslar'ın kuzeyinde yer alır ve buradaki ana jeomorfolojik üniteyi teskil eder. Sahadaki diğer morfolojik üniteler, asınım yüzeyleri ve Suğla Ovası'dır. Mavi Boğaz'ın olusum ve gelisiminde tektonik ve klimatik faktörler etkili olmustur. Miosen sonrasında Konya ve Suğla çanakları yükselemeyip faylarla çökmüstür. Suğla Çanağı ile Çumra Ovası arasındaki esikte belirgin bir yükselme meydana gelmistir. Yükselen kesimde Çarsamba Çayı, yatağına gömülerek boğaz seklindeki vadisini olusturmustur. Mavi Boğaz'ın çevresinde yüksek ve alçak plato karakterinde dört farklı asınım yüzeyi tesekkül etmistir. Asınım yüzeyleri karstlasma ve flüviyal etkilerle yer yer parçalanmıs bir görünüm kazanmıstır. Suğla Ovası, Beysehir-Suğla depresyonunda yer almaktadır. Ovanın olusum ve gelisiminde tektonik hareketlerin etkileri görülür. Üst Miosen-Pliosen geçisinde faylarla tamamen graben haline dönüsen saha, daha sonraki dönemlerde çevreden gelen akarsuların getirdiği malzemelerle dolgulanarak ova karakteri kazanmıstır.

The field of research is located on the the northern part of the Middle Taurus Mountains range and form the main geomorphologic unit. The other morphologic units in the area are eroded surfaces and Sugla Plain. Tectonic and climatic factors were efficient in the formation and growth of Mavi Gorge. After miosen, Konya and Sugla layers did not mount and they collapsed with the faults. Beetween the Sugla layer and Cumra Plain there have come to be a distinct ascension. In this ascended part, Carsamba River has formed its strait shape valley by settling in its bed. Around the Mavi Gorge, four different kinds of eroded surfaces that are in the characteristic a high and a low plateau were formed. Then, these eroded surfaces got into a divided outlook in patches by the effects of karstic and the fluvial formation. Sugla Plain is situated between Beysehir and Sugla. In the formation and growth of this plain, it is possible to see the effects of tectonic movements. This field, which completely turned into a graben by means of the faults in the transition of upper Miosen-Pliosen, gained the characteristics of a plain the other periods by being filled with the materials that the around rivers brought.
